Then comes shortcake crumbs that provide the perfect amount of texture and that quintessential shortcake flavor. Finally, it’s all blanketed in sweet cream frosting that’s silky smooth and perfumed with vanilla…and that’s just the first layer.
The sweet geniuses at Milk Bar take all of the deliciousness mentioned above, then they double it and top that off with another layer of vanilla cake and sweet cream frosting. Given how portable they are, Milk Bar’s new limited edition truffles would be perfect for sharing. Unfortunately for my friends, I’ll be keeping these all to myself. The Strawberry Shortcake Truffles have the same sweet, tangy, buttery, fruity flavor profile that the cake does, but these flavor-bombs are in a league of their own.
These strawberry-studded, strawberry milk-soaked vanilla cake balls condense the flavor of an entire slice of cake into a single bite. Then, they’re rolled in strawberry shortcake crumbs in place of frosting, which allows for a mobile, mess-free cake eating experience.
